Day Trip

    Day Trip

    with Michel Droge

    Frank Brockman Gallery

    Brunswick, Maine

    March 2018

Deliberate lines, strokes and color expose a layered concept of time, moving through time, and creating space in time. This work explores time as an idea more than or less than the structured time we experience as seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. I'm interested in revealing a truth about time that is only accessible on a visual level. Move forward. Step back. Take time. I believe in the compulsion of the viewer to make his own sense, gather his own interpretation of the work. The possibilities of the paintings become limitless without my formal breakdown. The simplicity and complexity are each in the viewer's hands.
